Prima Terra winery is located in the province of La Spezia and it is managed by the winemaker Walter de Battè. Walter has been making wine for years and has won several prizes.
Certainly the wines of Walter De Battè are born from a refined mental and philosophical research; they change over time, giving to you a pure pleasure while tasting them.
The harvest was carried out during the last 10 days of September.
Grapes are de-stemmed and crushed. Fermentation in stainless steel vats for 21 days. Then the wine aged in a Tonneau for 8 months on its sediments using the “batonnage technique”. One year from the harvest the wine was racked into stainless steel vats before bottling without filtering.

GRAPES: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Dolcetto, Moscato nero
COLOUR & BOUQUET: Deep ruby red; intense, rich and fruity, with scents of ripe red fruits, cherries, humus and balsamic herbs.
TASTE: smooth, warm, round, structured and complex, with lively tannins.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Pasta with meat sauce, aged cheese, roasted and grilled meat.
ALCOHOL: 14 % vol.
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving. You can easily cellar it for 4-5 years!
