• Tommasi is a family viticultural company founded in 1902. It is situated the heart of Valpolicella Classico region, a small piece of land in the North – West part of Verona.


    How the Tommasi Amarone is made.

    The grapes are harvested and placed directly onto small open racks, where they dry for 4 months before being pressed. Then the wine is aged for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Amarone ages at least three years in oak barrels and is then bottled. After bottling, the wine ages for at least another year.

    GRAPES: Corvina Veronese 50%, Corvinone 15%, Rondinella 30%, Oseleta 5%

    COLOUR & BOUQUET: Deep ruby red color with garnet shades. Warm, ripe on the nose, intense and of great refinement.

    TASTE: The taste is complex, smooth, full bodied, lots of cherry notes and plum.

    FOOD PAIRINGS: It can be served on special occasions, particularly with red meats, game and ripe cheeses. But it can also be sipped an ideal companion to enjoyable conversation.
